"Annette Oker. Sorry my granddaughter google acct always pops up. So on April 17th 2026 my farm was hit by the storm that came thru Janesville. My house was moaning. So I took my dogs n stayed in the bedroom main level. It's an old farmhouse, there is no basement.There's a cellar door so that's not an option. I could hear crashing and feel the house tremble at times that must be when the tree hit the front of the house and a tree hit the garage.Door part of my patio was moved the wall of my patio was moved.I was literally terrified. When it quieted down and I went to get outside. I couldn't because the patio door was wedged, because the wall had moved glass was everywhere from the patio. Door I had to go out around the house through the back of the house and around the yard devastation. Everywhere tree that had taken out stuff, just both of my sheds leveled, we're not talking damage. We're talking leveled, my chicken co-op. One of them was literally lifted up and placed on top of my raised garden beds. The other one is still sitting in the pasture upside out. That's right on its roof I don't know how many trees are ripped up by the root and hanging sideways. Dog kennels smashed by the trees. I didn't even realize part of the barn. Roof was gone until I opened it to go check on the chickens. A fourth of the barn rof Pole barn was gone I was in the neighbor's pasture. My yard light Pole, 25 feet tall broke at the ground, laying on top of the dog kennels. Oh, yeah, just everywhere I looked a mess. Just a mess hole in the laundry room roof water was actually pouring in through the light fixture in my fireplace. Apparently a tore the cap off, because there was water. Pouring down the fireplace, so I had to grab 5 gallon buckets. I had no power for 24 hours. A day or 2 later wasn't that long after I don't know. I was in shock. I just kind of walked around numb. Terry shows up my insurance agent. I didn't know she was showing up. Ivigated driveway says no trespassing with my phone number. I was in the barn with my daughter, trying to get stuff out of the park that was flooded to, hopefully, dry off my tools. So maybe they'd work again, anyway. My daughter goes mom. There's somebody in the front yard taking pictures. I walk out, it's Terry, my insurance agent. She's all chipper, oh, we just thought we'd drive around and you know, take pictures of the damage and stuff, you know, to help you get a jump on the claim. Aha so she walked round saying, yeah, you know, we don't cover that. And we don't cover that. And you know, with your deductible, I said, I have a $5000 deductible. Well, no, it's actually closer to 8000 because we add 2% for the value of your home. Blah blah blah. So you might not even meet the deductible. We're in the same boat. I had damage at my house and I don't think we're going to meet the deductible. She snapped off pictures wasn't comforting at all. I was horrified, she didn't announce. She was coming, she just showed up.It's rude. So the adjuster came yesterday. It's been a few weeks. He's been here twice now. Very nice. My damage is a little over a $100000. But in Terry's opinion with her and her camera, in hand I wasn't even going to make my $8000 deductible neglects to say, I have transferred agents. I've always enjoyed going in there. But I'm sorry, she is not an adjuster. She had no business showing up on my property, snapping photos without my permission. During a time of devastation, when you are so rattled and you can't get your thoughts straight and you're just overwhelmed, she is not a comfort, she made the situation worse, I have not filed a complaint with her with State Farm. But I want others to know she is not someone.You can count on when disaster strikes."

What’s the point of having insurance if you can’t file a few claims in all the years I’ve been a policyholder and then get a letter telling you they no longer will cover you based off another driver in the household who’s not on my insurance and has their own policy?"
